We just launched our Instagram over here, after finally realizing we’re never going to plan and make it perfect so as Lucy Vincent says we’re taking MASSIVE IMPERFECT ACTION & launching that shit. We’ll get better as we go and course correct where needed. So while we work on this for ourselves, I wanted to share with you 5 tips for writing for social media.
1 – Be yourself. Write like you’re talking to a friend, not to strangers, the ether or other businesses.
2 – Tell a story. Be purposeful with your captions – use them to educate, inspire, build community. THIS is something I’m working on. Instead of the “here’s a moodboard we made & love” that does nothing for our audience.
3 – Call them to action. All posts should include a call to action (CTA) – double tap if you agree, what are you struggling with in your business? Captions should be open ended and ask your consumers to take action by engaging with you in some way. Slide into my DMS if…
